Welcome to A Royal Mess—a space where chaos meets grace, and life’s twists become stories. I’m Daniela, a Colombian writer, traveler, and self-proclaimed functional (royal) mess. By day, I work in communications at an international organization; by night (or whenever inspiration strikes), I pour my thoughts into this blog.

I’ve always been drawn to words—journaling, blogging, songwriting, and curating the perfect caption. My life is a blend of gallivanting and dilly-dallying, with a deep love for pop culture, royalty, and global affairs. I aspire to live gracefully, forever chasing grace over perfection as I navigate the turbulence of life.

Travel is my greatest obsession. I see the world through the lens of history, art, entertainment, and, of course, food. But beyond destinations, I write about the personal experiences that shape me (or us?)—the ones that make us belly laugh, ugly cry, or question absolutely everything. Life is complicated, and I am constantly trying to make sense of it. But I do believe in the power of connection, and that’s why I’m here.
